Jade now offers a dedicated Preliminary hEDS/HSD Assessment designed to evaluate hypermobility-related symptoms against current diagnostic criteria and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
Who is this assessment for?
This assessment may be suitable if you:
Experience joint hypermobility, instability, or frequent sprains
Live with chronic pain, fatigue, or unexplained musculoskeletal symptoms
Have been told you are "double-jointed" or unusually flexible
Suspect you may have hEDS or HSD
Would like guidance on whether further medical investigation or specialist referral may be appropriate
What to expect
Comprehensive Clinical Assessment
A detailed 60-minute consultation exploring your medical history, symptoms, functional concerns, and hypermobility-related experiences.
Diagnostic Criteria Screening
Assessment against current (2017) hEDS and HSD diagnostic criteria to identify whether your presentation is consistent with a hypermobility-related condition.
This service will be updated as soon as the updated diagnostic criteria are released by the EDS Society.
Written Summary Letter
Following your appointment, Jade will prepare a summary letter outlining assessment findings, relevant clinical observations, and recommendations for next steps. This documentation may be useful for discussions with your GP or other healthcare providers.
Important Information
This assessment is a screening and clinical evaluation service and does not provide a formal medical diagnosis of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
However, it can help identify whether further investigation, specialist referral, or ongoing management may be appropriate.
